Launch Your Future
Go From
Student to CEO
Students in YEA BR get a head start on their futures with in-person classes at LSU’s Business Education Complex, home of the E. J. Ourso College of Business. At YEA BR, students don’t just learn about business—they launch one. With one-on-one mentorship from Baton Rouge entrepreneurs and real, hands-on experience, they turn bold ideas into real-world ventures.
-
Leila Ramos (2025) launched Hope Resuscitated to provide free Narcan and overdose education across Baton Rouge. The idea might have stayed an idea—until Leila joined YEA BR. Here, she gained the skills, confidence, and support to make a real community impact.
-
Danielle Rasche (2026) used her time in YEA BR to combine her passions for a clean space and non-toxic, natural products by launching Mindful Cleaning Services. Her company now cleans over 30 houses and condos, over 15 Air BnBs, and multiple office and gym properties around town — all with natural and products and the fantastic attention Danielle brought to YEA BR throughout her time!
-
“YEA was amazing for me, I used the seed money to keep working, eventually getting 1000 pieces manufactured and my idea patented. That experience convinced me to pursue a career in business, and I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan studying economics and interning at a construction company in Gonzales. I still talk about my YEA product as my greatest accomplishment in interviews.”
-
Jaylen started his YEA BR journey by helping his mom with an idea: restaurants have fifteen different burger options but only one fry option … what if he flipped that? With that in mind, Jaylen launched Da Fry Guy and is serving up waffle, curly, crinkle, shoe-string, and everything in between at events around the Baton Rouge area as he enters his freshman year at LSU in the fall of 2026!
-
Through YEA BR, Haden Vidrine developed Wonder Clothing, a company built around bold designs meant to catch eyes and spark conversation. But the journey didn’t start with a product. Like many young entrepreneurs, Haden entered the program without a clear business idea. Thanks to YEA BR’s mentors, he learned how to explore possibilities, shape concepts, and adopt the right mindset for launching something new.
“They taught us how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable,” Vidrine shared. For him, that lesson was foundational—an introduction not just to business skills, but to the resilience and adaptability required of every entrepreneur.
Vidrine is now a student at LSU, where he is building on what he learned in YEA BR by taking business classes and continuing to expand Wonder Clothing. The brand he created as a high school senior is thriving—driven by curiosity, hard work, and a willingness to step into the unknown.
-
Through YEA BR, Sindelar gained the tools, resources, and real-world experience she needed to turn her interest in entrepreneurship into action. “They really give you every single resource that you need,” she shared, pointing to the mentors, graphic designers, and community connections that helped bring her idea to life.
For Sindelar, that idea was ClearRX—an app designed to make prescription medications safer and easier to manage. The app scans medication labels, reads descriptions and warnings aloud, and allows users to set reminders to take their doses. It’s a simple solution to a widespread problem: people misreading or misunderstanding their medications.

Malaya Morris is a graduate of Dutchtown, incoming freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, and the founder of Mentor Milo, a company she founded during her time in YEA BR.
“Getting to work with amazing mentors, sharing exciting experiences, and making new friendships was such a wonderful experience. Additionally, beyond just building a business plan, YEA gave me the platform to raise awareness about educational inequality, a topic that I am very passionate about!”
