Alumni Spotlight: Amelia Sindelar

Meet Amelia Sindelar (Class of 2024)
Founder & CEO, ClearRX

When Amelia Sindelar entered the YEA BR, she never expected to walk out as the program’s top seed funding winner—much less the CEO of her own company. But what began as a week-before-the-deadline decision quickly turned into the launch of a groundbreaking healthcare innovation.

Through YEA BR, Sindelar gained the tools, resources, and real-world experience she needed to turn her interest in entrepreneurship into action. “They really give you every single resource that you need,” she shared, pointing to the mentors, graphic designers, and community connections that helped bring her idea to life.

For Sindelar, that idea was ClearRX—an app designed to make prescription medications safer and easier to manage. The app scans medication labels, reads descriptions and warnings aloud, and allows users to set reminders to take their doses. It’s a simple solution to a widespread problem: people misreading or misunderstanding their medications.

“You’re trying to solve a real-world problem,” Sindelar explained. “So, when you start thinking that way, it led me to how most people take medication, and I came up with an idea to try to solve the issue around people mistaking their medication.”

Even with a strong concept, Sindelar wasn’t expecting to win. She applied at the last minute, assuming the competition would be too steep. But her clarity of purpose—and her CEO mindset—carried her through.

Today, Sindelar is the owner and CEO of ClearRX, continuing to build the company she started as a high school sophomore. Her path reflects exactly what YEA BR is designed to do: help young people identify real needs, think like entrepreneurs, and bring meaningful solutions into the world.

Sindelar’s story is one of initiative, creativity, and confidence—proof that when young innovators are given the right tools and support, they don’t just imagine the future. They build it.
